Personal Stret Photography Project

House of Leaves is a personal photography project about Tirana, Albania. It explores the blurred boundary between photography and fiction by constructing an imagined spy narrative inspired by the city's history of surveillance. The project takes its name from the House of Leaves Museum, a former headquarters of the Sigurimi, Albania's secret police during the communist dictatorship. Today, the museum preserves the original spaces and surveillance equipment used to monitor citizens, serving as a powerful reminder of decades of state control, fear, and secrecy. Against this historical backdrop, the photographs play with ambiguity, inviting viewers to question what is documented, what is staged, and how memory, paranoia, and fiction can intertwine.
